Food & Nutrition

New York State’s 1115 Medicaid waiver aims to address social determinants of health, including food insecurity, by integrating services that address social needs.

To meet needs around nutrition and food access, CASA-Trinity has piloted a project that integrates a food pantry into its treatment space in Elmira, NY, named Dutch’s Pantry. This treatment-embedded food pantry opened in August 2024 and has been a success. The graphic below provides details regarding usage and the demographics of those who have benefitted from Dutch’s Pantry.
